I always say that Bonita Springs Florida is the best kept secret in SW Florida. As you're traveling south on I75 perhaps heading to Naples, Marco Island or the east coast of Florida, you'll quickly pass the only Bonita Springs exit. That is the only Bonita Springs exit there is and if you've missed it, you've missed a lot. I'll share just a bit of what lies in store for you should you exit at Bonita Beach Road. If you go directly west for a few miles you'll be surrounded by water on both sides. On your left, beginning with Barefoot Beach you'll see The Gulf of Mexico and on your right the Bay. If you continue on you'll end up on Ft. Myers Beach. Along your way you'll see a variety of places to eat on shop including Doc's Beach House, a great place to watch the sunset.
Before you get to the beaches, you'll come up on the major intersection where Bonita Beach Rd crosses over Hwy 41, Tamiami Tr. Turn right and in less than 3 miles you'll find The Promenade At Bonita Bay on your left and going past that you'll find Coconut Point Mall. During your visit you'll find some great restaurants and places to shop including botique clothing stores. Turn right on Tamiami Tr from Bonita Beach Rd and travel about 3 miles to Mercato, located in North Naples on the NE corner of Vanderbilt and Tamiami Trail. Here again you'll find great shopping and a wide variety of restaurants as well as a movie theatre. There is no exit on I75 for Vanderbilt.
Additionally in Bonita Springs you'll discover a plethera of condo communities including Bonita Bay, The Brooks, Vasari, Mediterra on the higher end and others such as Bonita Pines, Cypress Plantations, River Homes and many others. Fact is you can find a nice condo in a nice community for under $175,000.
